<p>朝宗桥石碑的碑阴题记是“万历四年岁次丙子仲夏吉日”。万历四年是1576年，朝宗桥距今已有434年了。</p>

<p>曾有某寺阿訇告诉我，当年的宣礼都有爬到楼上，而后来比较麻烦且许都寺的空间和布局都不容易实施；就去掉了二层楼的结构，改到了站在楼的下方向大殿内的宣礼；但是保留了这种象征性的楼阁，成就了后楼阁和前大殿卷棚相连的结构</p>
