【历史】<br>
张自忠路３号原名为铁狮子胡同1号。<br>
【明崇祯年间】，这里是“天春园”，明田贵妃的父亲田畹（田弘遇）的官邸。“天春园”所在的胡同也因园门前摆有一对元朝时期铸造的铁狮子而得名。<br>
【明末】吴三桂和陈圆圆初次相遇就是在这”天春园”里。<br>
【清朝中期】，这里是两座王府（东为和亲王府，西为贝勒斐苏府）<br>
【1906年】，政府拆了王府，这此兴建了东、西两组洋式砖木结构楼群，西为“陆军部”，东为陆军贵胄学堂。<br>
【1909年】，重建“海军部”时，贵胄学堂撤消，东院成为“海军部”。<br>
【1912年】，袁世凯任中华民国临时大总统时，把总统府设于西院，国务院设于东院。<br>
【1919年】后，靳云鹏任国务总理兼陆军总长，此处改为总理府；<br>
【1924年】，这里成为北洋军阀段祺瑞的中华民国临时执政府<br>
【1926年】3月18日，在这门前发生了“三.一八惨案”。京师女大学生刘和珍牺牲于此。现有纪念碑立于大门东侧石狮子旁，（还记得鲁迅的悼文《为了忘却的纪念——纪念刘和珍君》吧？），<br>
【1928年】以后，此处改为北平卫戍区司令部。<br>
【1937年】前，这里是二十九军驻北平军部及冀察政务委员会。<br>
【1937年】后，西院为岗村宁次的日本华北驻屯军总司令部，东院则是以喜多为首的日本特务机关兴亚院。<br>
【1945】抗战胜利后，国民党接管，改为十一战区长官司令部、国民党北平警备司令部。<br>
【1949年】后，成为中国人民大学校舍。<br>
【1978年】，西院主楼由清史研究所使用，后配楼是人民大学校舍。东院楼群由中国社会科学院使用。<br>
【1984年】，这里定为北京市文物保护单位。<br>
【2006年】，这里定为国家级重点文物保护单位。

建筑造型，中部主体为高耸的塔楼，二侧水平伸展，周围连续拱廊，侧翼为结束端，向前突出。立面竖向三段划分，底部为1.5米的基座层，底层、二层四周皆为回廊。

主楼中央部分有四个出入口，侧翼各有三个，主楼正门是三间大门，上有金属罩棚支于铸铁立柱上，与中央钟塔形成建筑中轴线。

二层内走廊之上有六个立于屋脊处的老虎窗可通风、采光。建筑外立面基本是模仿英国古典式，但加入中国传统纹饰。顶部女儿墙栏杆作成雉堞式，壁柱处延伸成尖塔形，东西两侧翼之山花则为巴洛克式曲线形。

由于中国工匠进行施工，在壁柱柱头、檐部、水平腰线、拱券等处布满了砖雕装饰，减弱了其纪念性与严肃性。

东院的“海军部”主楼，平面呈"山"字形，风格与“陆军部”相似，但装饰较为简约。<br>

据中国第一历史档案馆所存档案记载，该建筑由建设委员沈琪"绘具房图"，这是见于记载的中国第一位官方建筑师。旧址建筑群规模宏大，但是只用了一年半时间便全部建成，而且质量很高。它由中国建筑师主持设计建造，并由中国营造厂施工，反映了二十世纪初中国建筑师的设计水平和营造厂的施工水平。

眼熟么？等有很多电影都在这里取景，《阳光灿烂的日子》里米兰（宁静）就住在这个院子里马小军（夏雨）常在这楼顶上“瞭望”。

这里分为东西两院：<br>
西院是“陆军部”建筑群，由主楼、东西侧楼、后楼组成。东院是“陆军部”建筑群，也是由主楼、东西侧楼、后楼组成。两院中间有一排平房，据说是当年的食堂。<br><br>
西院“陆军部”是主体，大门面南，面阔五间，中三间开门，大式筒瓦悬山大脊顶，街对面有巨大影壁一座。此门尺度超出一般王府，应是1906年新建的传统衙署大门。<br>

“陆军部”南楼是建筑群的中心，光绪三十三年（1907年）七月建成。平面为"H"字形，东西长66.05米，侧翼宽36.31米，地上主体二层，中部三间为三层，中央又凸起一层钟楼，高约22米，全楼带地下室。整个建筑分为中段与左右两翼。底层中部为一整间大会议厅，两翼各分为四室，为小会议室或大办公室；二层中部隔为多间小办公室，两翼与底层相同。<br>

是重新换木头、补砖、刷漆，搞成“崭新的”？
我觉得 这些建筑被当作一些机关的办公室，其实是对文物建筑的不错的保护，但使用中一定要注意不能过度使用，要随时维修，有人气比空着强。
为什么国外的古建筑比我们保存的好？1是因为一般西洋建筑比中国木质建筑结实，2就是因为国内的使用多数都是超负荷的。比如四合院改大杂院、王府改学校、寺庙改车间仓库... 中西合璧，精美的砖雕洋楼。 <p>感觉保存的还算比较完整，难得北京能留下如此精美的砖雕。</p>
<p>尽管如此，私搭乱建还是有的。</p>

陆军部这个楼，内部其实也不算太差，应该尽快装修，还应该尽快开放，搞成博物馆、图书馆、文史馆之类的。
