[佛教]妙应寺

妙应寺      秒应寺，俗称白塔寺，位于北京市西城区阜成门内大街上。它始建于元代，原名“大圣寿万安寺”，寺内的白塔是中国现存年代最早、规模最大的喇嘛塔。1961年，妙应寺白塔被中华人民共和国
国务院公布为第一批全国重点文物保护单位之一。

妙应寺庭院景观 七佛宝殿为寺前香鼎。   建塔人阿尼哥像 具六神通殿前环境。上书“具六神通”四个黑色大字，是乾隆皇帝亲手书写的。 明朝末年，大圣寿万安寺焚毁，80多年后，明代天顺元年（1457），白塔寺才得以重建，明英宗赐名“妙应寺”。 明宣德八年（1433），在万安寺故址建起了“重楼巨栋三千间”的皇家道观朝天宫，占去了大量的土地，因而妙应寺的规模较大圣寿寺大大的缩小了基本形成了今天的格局。 白塔寺的庙会在农历每月五、六两日举行，是北京主要庙会之一。 清末《旧京琐记》云："…有期集者，逢三之土地庙，四、五之白塔寺，七、八之护国寺，九、十之隆福寺，谓之四大庙市，皆以期集。  白塔寺的庙会与护国寺庙会基本相同，因白塔寺与护国寺不但位置相邻，而且庙会的日期也相近。

妙应寺建筑细部      白塔寺所处地区是辽南京城的北郊，早在寿昌二年（1096年）便建造过一座佛塔，供奉佛舍利以及香塔、佛经等佛教圣物，後来毁於战火。元至元八年（1271年），忽必烈敕令在辽塔遗址的基础

妙应寺主体建筑
